Field Construction Coordinator (FCC) is an authorized representative of the Client who facilitates construction projects and is responsible for:

The on-site, daily inspection of the contractor’s work for quality and conformance with the Transmission Engineering plans and specifications.

The coordination of all entities involved with the project to include Transmission Engineering, Transmission Grid Management (TGM), Transmission District Offices, Material Centers (MC), other Contractors and other Utilities.

The support of a safe work environment for contractors, employees, customers and the public by enforcement of all safety rules and OSHA regulations.

Coordination of multiple contractors
Coordination of multiple contract tasks
Clearing, foundation, structure, conductor, etc.

Communication with Transmission Grid Management (TGM)

Identify upcoming line clearances
Verify line segments for clearances
Coordinating outside utility clearance notification
Support line clearance requesting
Coordinate clearances, holds, and reclosers with TGM

Communication of activity with Transmission Engineering

Interface with Project Engineer

Communication with Region/District offices

Notification of arrival, schedules, and departure

Reports to Transmission Engineering

Weekly activity/progress report
Accident reports Theft/burglary report
Service interruption/outage report

Inspection Documentation

Assimilation of FCC inspection forms
Concrete samples, sleeve installation, material disposal, foundation change, etc.

Materials

Coordinate project needs
Coordinate delivery
Prepare shortage list
Maintain packing lists from job site delivered material

Notification of project problems impacting or delaying schedule

Environmental Concerns

Compliance with Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan
Protection of wetlands on project Right of Ways
Protection of endangered species

Maintain prints on site for any changes to plans or specifications

Assist with project close out

Provide "as built" prints at the close out of the project Adherence to the Client’s safety program
